In A Body brings awareness to what struggling with body image looks like and creates an open and honest dialogue with individuals who have successfully overcome body image issues. With social media bombarding us with images of how we think we should look, more and more young people today struggle with body image issues.

This short film was produced during The Representation Project’s 2019 Summer Youth Media Academy in Oakland, California. The first-time filmmaking team was made up of Melany A., Danise K., Kenia C., and Mariana F.
