WATCH: What Is This Election Teaching Our Boys?

Millions are expected to watch tonight’s final presidential debate. As we tune in, it’s important to remember who’s watching: our children. What are they learning? Many pundits and media outlets have highlighted the message girls are getting: that it’s okay to objectify their bodies and diminish their voices. But our boys are listening, too, and here’s what they’re learning:

Now more than ever, it’s critical we have a conversation about healthy masculinity and what it means to “Be a Man” in America. Share this video on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram with your friends and family to encourage them to watch The Mask You Live In and join in the conversation. Together, let’s challenge limiting stereotypes and norms and create a world where our children can fulfill their human potential.

Representation Around the Web

“On Tuesday, data scientist Nate Silver tweeted a map of what the election would look like if only women voted and what it would look like if only men voted. As you can see, the Trump camp is overwhelmingly male — which gave them an idea. What if women aren’t allowed to vote? Someone replied to Silver with the hashtag #RepealThe19th, referring to the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, The Los Angeles Times reports. What followed was an absurd string of sexist tweets.” – Refinery29
