“The Mask You Live In” World Premiere

Sundance Film Festival

We are honored to announce that The Mask You Live In will be premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2015! This premiere catapults onto the world stage our examination of how America’s narrow definition of masculinity is harming boys, men, and society at large.

When Miss Representation premiered at Sundance in 2011, it accelerated the movement to accurately portray women across all aspects of society. In the three years since, we’ve made great strides — on the film festival circuit, within the classroom, and even on TV during the Superbowl.

About The Mask You Live In

With The Mask You Live In, we’re expanding the conversation to include how our culture is harming boys and men. Research shows boys in the U.S. are more likely to be diagnosed with a behavior disorder, prescribed stimulant medications, fail out of school, binge drink, commit a violent crime, and/or take their own lives.
