Raquel Salazar-Foster

Raquel Salazar is an award-winning Chilean-American filmmaker, journalist and cinematographer. Her work has been nominated for six NY Emmys®, numerous journalistic awards and broadcasted on U.S. and European television. Much of her work has covered race, immigration, youth issues and the criminal justice system. This year she will be working on her first hybrid music series as cinematographer. She also co-teaches cinematography courses at Austral University’s new film school ECA. Her most recent interest is exploring light as an object and creating public light interventions about our global water crisis.
