How does popular entertainment media represent common rape myths? In our new report, Ten Rape Myths in Media, we analyzed the top criminal justice films and TV shows of 2022 to identify what role this content plays in perpetuating harmful rape myths. We find that this content promotes misinformation regarding both sexual violence and the criminal justice system, and upholds rape culture in the United States.
