Miss Representation: Rise Up

Premiering At The Tribeca Festival – June 7, 2026

Miss Representation: Rise Up is a new documentary confronting a dangerous new era. With the rise of AI and deepfakes, tech-facilitated violence is exacerbating sexism and misogyny toward women and girls in an attempt to control and silence them.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom, founder of The Representation Project, wrote and directed Miss Representation: Rise Up, building on the global conversation sparked by her original film about media, gender, and power. With this new chapter, she returns with new urgency, confronting the cultural backlash against women’s agency and power head-on and challenging audiences to reckon with how far we still have to go.

With young women at its core, Miss Representation: Rise Up interweaves their personal journeys alongside leading voices in media, culture, leadership, and academia to reimagine a future that finally uplifts women and girls.
